How to Prep for a Catalog Shoot

IT ALL BEGINS HERE!

This shoot includes stylized food, ingredient shots, kitchen process, FOH action, portraits, interiors and exteriors. 

You will receive 150 - 200 images

1. FOOD

Select 6-8 highlighted dishes off your menu that you are proud of to be photographed. Prepare the dishes for your catalog photoshoot.

2. DRINKS

Prepare the drinks you would like photographed (if any). If you want in-process shots of the drinks being made, get the ingredients ready to go so that we can capture this quickly.

3. STAFF

 Notify any new staff members that you would like photographed. Make sure they are dressed and ready when the shoot begins.

4. SPACE

 Create a list of interior or exterior elements at your restaurant that you would definitely like us to capture.

This shoot includes stylized food, ingredient shots, kitchen process, FOH action, interiors and exteriors.

 Prepare the menu items that you'd like to cover. Select 6-8 highlighted dishes off your menu that you are proud of to be photographed.

2. DRINKS

 Prepare the drinks you would like to cover (if any). If you want in-process shots of the drinks being made, get the ingredients ready to go so that we can capture this quickly.

3. STAFF

 Notify any new staff members that you would like photographed. Make sure they are dressed and ready when the shoot begins.

Content Delivery

1. THE DELIVERY

150-200 Images from the catalog shoot are delivered through a dropbox link. The images are delivered in folders that are categorized to help keep everything in order. We provide high-res, editorial-quality images and videos, but also make sure you have web/social-quality files that are ready to post to when you are.

2. THE MEETING

1 hour meeting to present photo + video and a 2 hours strategy session to learn how to use your content. We will go over each folder in our delivery meeting so you and your staff know where everything is.

3. THE STRATEGY SESSION

We empower you to use this content to actually bring customers through the door with a 2 hour strategy session. After the 1 hour delivery meeting our social media strategist will stay with you to help you learn how to bring life to your website, social media, marketing, and advertising. We know how overwhelming keeping up with social media can be, especially when you don't have enough hours in the day already. Our Subscriptions are meant to take this one rather huge thing off your plate (the content), so that you can focus on everything else. And our Strategy Session is intended to help you find your legs when it comes to social media — you'll leave with a plan of action that actually fits into your life.

How to use the Box App

DELIVERING IMAGES TO YOUR FINGER TIP!

We use the Box app to deliver your photos from your subscription photo shoots. We love this for a few reasons.

With Box, you and your team will always have the latest photos and videos on hand on your phone and your desktop. Your team has a place to share and collaborate before sharing your images with the world! Sharing your images should be fun! After every photo session your images will be uploaded and shared to you through the Box app. Simply download the file you wish to use and the rest is history!

HOW IT WORKS

1. Download and set up the Box app.

Go get the app for your iPhone or your Android. When you open the app for the first time (or go to the Box website for the desktop version), it'll prompt you to sign up for an account. Follow the instructions and let us know once you're set up. If you have other people who run your social media accounts or need access to the images, have them download the app too.

2. After a shoot, go check out the most recent folder.

We organize the photos by date, so you know what's what! [This is what the app and desktop versions look like

3. When you open a specific folder, you'll find the edited files ready for you.

See? There they are!

4. Select the image you want to use.

You can also add an image to your favorites with the star button and add comments and details in case someone else will be posting the picture.

5. Save the image to your phone library or download it to your desktop.

You can also copy files into a new folder if you would like to share a set of images with someone for another project.

6. Share your image.

Post away! Hooray!
